JAMMU, Jan 13: Municipal Corporation Dharamshala has been conferred with the prestigious ‘SKOCH Award 2025’ for promoting excellence in ‘e-Governance’, marking yet another significant milestone under the leadership of Municipal Commissioner Zaffar Iqbal, a 2017 batch IAS officer, who belongs to district Poonch of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Award has been granted for the innovative “Digital Dharamshala Mission”, a comprehensive digital initiative that has transformed the delivery of municipal services in the hill city and strengthened urban governance through technology-driven solutions.
The SKOCH Award recognizes Dharamshala Municipal Corporation’s success in integrating all civic services on a single digital platform, guided by the vision of “One City, One Website, One Portal and One App.”
Through this unified system, a wide range of municipal services are now available online, significantly enhancing ease of doing business, improving citizen convenience, and boosting overall operational efficiency within the urban local body.
Notably, this is the second consecutive ‘SKOCH Award’ received by the Dharamshala Municipal Corporation under the stewardship of Zaffar Iqbal.
