Muni Lal Chopra Hospital to treat patients having respiratory problems: Dr Avtar

JAMMU, June 5: All the patients having respiratory problems and corona positive patients will be now treated Muni Lal Chopra Hospital, opposite Company Bagh in Amritsar, which has been taken over by Amandeep Group of Hospitals.
This information was shared by Dr Avtar Singh, Chairman Amandeep Group of Hospitals. He said long time back Muni Lal Chopra Hospital was closed down due to certain reasons. Now that hospital is reopened and taken over by Amandeep Group of Hospitals, he added.
He further told that MuniLal Chopra Hospital is right backside of Amandeep Medicity Hospital and it will now be operating as a new hospital exclusively for respiratory problems. “In this hospital, patients suffering from COVID-19 will also be treated and special arrangements have been made for nursing staff and specialized doctors to be available round the clock,” he further informed.
Dr Avtar said that the patients will be treated in the Hospital as per guidelines of ICMR. “Staff will be working for 6 hours daily for 7 days and will be quarantined for 6 days after that as it is very important to quarantine the staff that is treating COVID-19 patients,” he said, adding, this decision has been taken by director of Amandeep Group.
He further shared with media that to admit COVID-19 patients, besides wards, ICU facility arrangements have also been made, so that appropriate care of patients is being taken. “People of Amritsar were expecting an exclusive Respiratory Care Hospital, so we have come up with our new hospital named as Chest Hospital,” he added.
