MULBPA demands hike in medical allowance

JAMMU, Dec 10: Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners Association (MULBPA) in a meeting here today demanded hike in medical allowance to Rs. 1000 from Rs. 300.
Speakers in the meeting said that medical allowance in J&K is Rs. 300 for the last two decades but at present price of medicines and other medical related expenditure has increased to a large extent so the medical allowance should also be hiked at par with other Union Territories of India.
They appealed to the LG Manoj Sinha to look into the matter.
They also demanded release of pending DA/DR of 18 months from the month of January 2020 to ending June 2021 and urged PM Modi to instruct the authorities in this regard.
The meeting was attended by B.S Jamwal, B.D Verma, Jawahar Lal Sharma and others.
