JAMMU, Dec 18: Municipal and Urban Local Bodies Pensioners’ Association (MULBPA), Jammu Province today criticized the J&K Bank for its circular issued under JKB/16 dated 13-12-2016 asking the pensioners to submit their life certificate to the concerned J&K Bank branches before January 15, 2017 failing which their pension would be stopped.
In a meeting of the association, the speakers said that those pensioners who are regularly visiting J&K bank to draw their pension should not be made compulsory to submit life certificate and those who have taken the Debit/Credit Card facilities be asked to submit their life certificate because of not attending the bank.
The meeting appealed Director General Accounts and Treasuries, Finance Department, J&K Government and Chairman, J&K Bank Limited for making the amendment in the rules so that the pensioners may not suffer in future.
