MSJK, Sena flay 5 pc GST on essential commodities

JAMMU, July 17: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) and Shiv Sena here today flayed the 5 per cent GST on essential commodities.
Activists of MSJK along with traders staged a protest demonstration against 5 per cent GST on edibles, flour, oils, pulses etc.
The protest was led by MSJK president, Sunil Dimple who while addressing the protesters said, as the government has already increased the prices of flour, rice, curd, milk, cheese etc, so this 5 per cent GST should be rolled back else there will be an agitation.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena J&K flayed the 5 per cent GST on essential commodities of daily use by every person. Shiv Sena J&K president Manish Sahni told reporters that BJP has once again disappointed the people at this critical juncture when they are already struggling to make their both ends meet amidst unprecedented inflation and sky rocketing prices of essential commodities.
