JAMMU, Jan 12: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) activists here today took out a protest rally against JKPDCL for long unscheduled power cuts.
The protest rally was led by MSJK president, Sunil Dimple who demanded free 200 units of electricity and return of Salal, Uri and Rattle hydel power projects to J&K.
Addressing protesters Sunil Dimple claimed that even the metered areas in Jammu are being subjected to power cuts while at the time of installation of these smart meters the authorities have assured that there will be 24×7 electricity once these meters are installed.
Dimple also demanded free drinking water to J&K people.
He threatened mass agitation if unscheduled power curtailments are not stopped immediately.
Dimple alleged that the government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has started charging advance payment of electricity bills and is looting the poor families.
Sudershan Sharma, Mukesh Gupta, Vipan Gupta, Rakesh Sharma, Vicky Gupta, Jitender Gupta, Mohan Lal, Bramu Sharma, Akbar Khan, Mohd Shafi, Nazier Khan and many others were also present in the rally.
