JAMMU, June 24: Workers of Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) here today staged a protest demonstration under the leadership of Sunil Dimple, MSJK president and expressed resentment against the rising unemployment and for making Urdu compulsory for the posts of Naib Tehsildar (NT).
Addressing the protesters Dimple demanded job policies, regularization of daily wagers and implementation of Minimum Wages Act in J&K.
He said that when everything is online today, why the Revenue Department is forcing Urdu as compulsory for the posts of NT.
He also questioned the present status of the Committee framed for the regularization of PHE, PDD, PWD and other daily wagers.
“From 2014 to 2025, BJP has failed to regularize daily wagers in these 11 years,” Sunil Dimple maintained adding that wages of J&K daily wagers should be made at par with their counterparts in other UTs.
Prominent among those who were present in the protest were Ashok Sharma, Tarsem Lal, Mohinder, Shaheen Sidu, Karnail Singh, Susheel, Ajay, Sudesh Kumar and others.
