MSJK protests against PHE, PDD

JAMMU, Aug 31: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) activists here today staged a protest demonstration against PHE and PDD for acute scarcity of drinking water and almost no power supply for the last one week.
The protest was led by MSJK leader, Sunil Dimple and the protesters raised slogans against PHE and PDD Departments. Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple claimed that water supply project Seetli in Nagrota has turned defunct as all water supply big pipes from Seetli to Manda have been damaged.
He said that PHE Department collects tariffs but the system at Seetli is 50 years old and defunct.
The MSJK leader further claimed that the posts of many engineers in PHE Department are vacant and the present officers have been given additional charges.
He also said that water supply pipes have developed leaks at many places due to which contaminated water is being supplied to the public.
Rekha, Sunita Devi, Swarna Devi, Tarsem Lal, Bramu, Rajinder Kumar and many others were also present in the protesters.
