JAMMU, Mar 2: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) president, Sunil Dimple here today led a protest demonstration demanding ban on the sale of liquor in J&K.
Addressing protesters, Dimple announced strong protests for the demand on March 3, during the start of Assembly session.
“I will hold parallel Assembly session on roads to press the government to pass important Bills in the House,” he said adding that LG Manoj Sinha and CM Omar Abdullah should declare ban on the sale of liquor in J&K during the Governor address.
The MSJK leader also demanded the arrest of drug peddlers to save the youth and threatened to expose the political parties and MLAs opposing liquor ban Bill in the Assembly.
His other demands were restoration of Statehood to J&K, 200 units of free electricity where smart meters have been installed, 12 free LPG cylinders and double ration supply from this March to the people of J&K.
Shiv Pal Singh, Sudesh Kumar, Karnail Singh, Dev Raj, Vipan, Vicky, Rakesh Sharma, Sanjay Sethi, Amit Raina, Kala Kumar, Bramu Sharma, Sunil, Akbar Khan, Mohd Shafi, Nazier Ahmad and many others were also present in the protest.
