REASI, Apr 8: Member of Parliament from Doda-Udhampur constituency, Choudhary Lal Singh today addressed a public meeting at Chowk Chabutra and interacted with locals, here today.
On the occasion, Lal Singh announced Rs 13 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund for the development of different wards of the town. The MP said that he would leave no stone unturned for development of the area and welfare of people in his constituency.
The public meeting was organized by People’s Welfare Forum Reasi.
President of the Forum, Kuldip Mengi apprised the leader about the problems, being faced by people of Reasi. He also submitted a memorandum to the MP seeking tehsil status for Pouni, Bomagh, Arnas and Katra.
Delegations from different areas also highlighted the local problems, relating to Health services, PHE, PWD etc.
The MP issued on the spot instructions to the concerned authorities for immediate action. Others who spoke on the occasion, included Uttam Deep, Balwir Singh Manhas, Sohan Lal, Ranjit Singh, Mohd Sadiq, Rowal Singh and Bupinder Singh.
