JAMMU, Mar 19: A motorcyclist was killed in accident near Doomi area, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanachack.
As per police sources, 20-year-old Rohit Sharma, son of Kewal Sharma, a resident of Bathera was killed when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a truck near Doomi area.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor for post-mortem, which will be conducted tomorrow.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and hunt has been launched to nab the driver, who escaped from the spot leaving behind the truck.
