Motorcycle lifter arrested

JAMMU, Feb 8: Police arrested a motorcycle lifter arrested from Bikram Chowk area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, during routine checking at Bikram Chowk, a police team intercepted a motorcyclist coming from Satwari towards Jammu.
On seeing police party, the rider tried to escape, but the cops chased and intercepted the motorcycle near some distance from the naka point.
During scrutinizing of the documents, it came to fore that the motorcycle was stolen by the rider from Gandhi Nagar.
Police arrested the accused, who has been identified as Kuldeep Kumar alias Sodhi, son of Om Parkash, a resident of New Plot.
During questioning, 2 more stolen motorcycles were recovered from the accused and a total of 4 cases of motor vehicle theft cases were worked out.
Further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar police station Inspector Bishnesh Kumar and Incharge Nehru Market police post SI Balram Sharma and made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
