Mosque, house damaged in fire

Srinagar, Dec 11: A mosque and a residential house were damaged in separate fire incidents in Kashmir Valley, police said here.
A police spokesman said fire broke out in Aqal Mir Masjid in Khanyar area of downtown here, resulting in damage to tomb of the mosque. “Fire Tenders brought blaze under control with the assistance of police and locals,” he said.
Similarly, the fire broke out in a single storied residential house of Tariq Ahmad Raina of Ghoipora Rezan in Ganderbal district, resulting in damage to the house. “The blaze was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and police,” the spokesman added.
