LEH, Sep 10: Union Minister of State (MoS) for Women and Child Development Department, Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai visited Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) of Maan and Spangmik during his tour to Durbuk block.
The Minister attended the Poshan Mela organized by the AWCs on the occasion of Poshan Maah. Dr Mahendrabhai interacted with the Anganwadi workers, helpers and the children studying there. He also appreciated the activities conducted by the children on the occasion.
Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), ICDS Leh briefed the MoS about various activities being conducted at different Anganwadi centres during Poshan Maah and about supplementary nutrition served at the AWCs.
CDPO Leh also informed about the Management of Acute Malnutrition (SAM and MAM) and Anemia status among the Anganwadi children.
