UDHAMPUR, Mar 11: Minister of State (MoS) for Finance and Information Technology and MLA Udhampur, Pawan Kumar Gupta today inaugurated a JCB machine (backhoe loader) for use in mechanized scavenging of garbage here in city.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kumar Gupta stressed on the importance of clean and green city. He mentioned that old machines in need of repair would be repaired soon to augment the cleaning activities and more modern solutions would be devised for permanent solution to ever burgeoning problems of garbage and waste disposal in city.
Gupta also inaugurated the repair works of historical Lambi lane and Gurudwara lane. He said both these places were in dire need of repairs and the workmanship of these works would be based on quality and there were would be no compromise in this regard.
“Improvising infrastructure in Udhampur which has been neglected in the past 12 years is a part of his plan for the city and more such projects would be kick started soon”, he added.
The Minister said that his main aim was to provide clean and good governance to Udhampur and ensuring the quality of work would be the first big step in this direction.
