RAJOURI, Jan 12: An old mortar shell was found in village Bhatta in Qila Darhal area of Nowshera sector last evening.
Official sources said that the old and semi-rusted shell was found near the house of Yashpal Singh at Bhatta village. He was digging his land for the vegetables and then discovered this explosive device. His house falls near local Gurudwara.
He reported the matter to Police and Sub Division Police Officer (SDPO) Nowshera Jaswant Singh and SHO Nowshera Inspector Arjun Magotra along with team rushed to the spot. The shell was taken into custody and later destroyed away from residential area.
