JAMMU, Aug 1: Month long UGC General Orientation Course for University and College Teachers organized by Academic Staff College, University of Jammu concluded here today.
The month long course was attended by around 40 teachers from both within and outside the State.
On the valedictory function today, Prof Neelam Saraf, Dean Academic Affairs, JU was the chief guest, who distributed certificates among the successful teachers.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Saraf complimented Dr Mohd Munir Alam, Department of Strategic Studies, who was the teacher in charge for organizing the course.
The teachers attending the course drawn from multiple disciplines were imparted training with regard to latest trends in higher education by resource persons and experts from various disciplines.
Prof Narsimullu, Director, ASC , Hyderabad and Dr Surinder Shukla, PU Chandigarh were prominent among other outstation resource persons who delivered lectures at the course.
One of the participant Dr Sunil Kumar from Maharashta in his feedback expressed satisfaction with regard to the organization of the course and the lodging facilities provided by the ASC.
Earlier, Ranjeet Kalra, Assistant Prof, ASC presented the welcome address followed by detailed account about the one month long course by Dr Mohd Munir Alam.
