JAMMU, May 14: Mohan Singh has been elected as president while Ravi Gupta as general secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank Officers Association.
Interestingly, the election was scheduled to be held on May 26 and May 11 was last date of filing nomination papers while today was the date of withdrawal of the nomination papers. The election committee after scrutiny of the papers declared Manmohan Singh as elected unopposed and uncontested. It was for the first time that office bearers of the JKBOA were also elected unopposed.
Narinder Wadhera is the new senior vice president, Ajay Kohli and Sudesh Gupta vice presidents, Ravi Gupta as general secretary, M M Bakshi as organizing secretary, Satish Sharma, A K Choudhary and Sudan Sarabjeet Kour as secretaries while Har Dutt as treasurer. The new team extended gratitude to the Iqbal Singh and others for conducting election affairs.
