*There was huge applause from the crowd, which chanted `Modi Modi’ as the Prime Minister reached Sher-e-Kashmir stadium in Srinagar to address mammoth rally.
*PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, who welcomed the Prime Minister from the dais, had to request the crowd to stop the slogans so that Modi could address them.
* The stadium was packed to the capacity as thousands of people had turned up to listen to the Prime Minister.
*Modi spoke for 35 minutes in Srinagar and 30 minutes at Chanderkoot
*At both the rallies, there was huge chanting of slogans in favour of the Prime Minister when he announced the package worth Rs 80,000 crores for Jammu and Kashmir.
*At Srinagar rally, Mehbooba Mufti presented welcome address while Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh gave vote of thanks. At Chanderkoot rally, Dr Nirmal Singh presented welcome address while Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh gave vote of thanks.
*Massive enthusiasm was witnessed among the crowd at both the rallies with people shouting slogans eulogizing Modi.
*Modi made special mention of thanks in his Srinagar rally and expressed gratitude to the people for giving two-thirds majority to the BJP in Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh. He also made the mention of BJP MP from Ladakh Thupstan Chhewang for the BJP victory.
*The Prime Minister said earlier only two kilometers road used to be constructed in a day, which has now been taken to 18 and by March next the number will reach 30 kilometers per day on an average.
*Majority of Ministers were present at the dais in Srinagar during Modi’s rally.
*The Prime Minister quoted Transparency International Report, which says that India has jumped 10 points to rank 85th as against 95th last year in the steps taken to curb corruption in the country. This, he said, was one of the achievements of the Government in 17 months.
