JAMMU, Nov 23: Under the ongoing Jan Jagran Abhiyan, activists of Mahila Congress here today organized a rally under the leadership of Pradesh Mahila Congress president and ex-MLA, Indu Pawar in which women from different localities were present.
Addressing the rally Indu Pawar said, this campaign has been launched to expose BJP which is pursuing the agenda of industrialists and big business houses at the cost of poor people.
She said that prices of essential commodities are increasing daily but those at the helm of affairs appear to be unconcerned over unending woes of poor masses.
The Congress leader reminded that BJP leaders who used to protest over prices of petrol and diesel are mum now.
“Prices of all essential commodities including edible oil, pulses and fuel are all time high and the Modi Government is doing nothing to provide relief to the people,” she maintained.
Pawar claimed that by increasing prices of petrol, diesel and LPG cylinders again and again, the Modi Government has made it clear that it has no concern about the problems of common people who are badly hit by the inflation.
Suman Choudhary, Manju, Sunita, Raj and others also spoke on the occasion.
