JAMMU, Aug 22: Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER, organized its Leadership Programme to formally induct the newly elected student council for the academic year 2025–26 with great enthusiasm and solemnity. The event celebrated the appointment of student leaders including the Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy, Vice Head Girl, House and Club office bearers.
The programme was graced by Sunny Gupta, Superintendent of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jammu, as the chief guest. He was joined by Dr. Adit Gupta, Director MIER, Rupa Gupta, Joint Director MIER, Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Principal, JK Dhiman, Vice Principal, Academic Managers and House In-charges.
The event began with a guard of honour by NCC cadets and Scouts & Guides, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. A melodious welcome song and a patriotic Kathak performance added charm to the occasion. The Chief Guest presented sashes and badges to the council members, who pledged to uphold the school’s values and motto “Shretha.”
The programme was coordinated by Nisha Sharma, Nitika Sharma and Neetu Bhardwaj, with compering by Amitoj and Aditya Raina. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
