JAMMU, May 6: Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER held its Investiture Ceremony for the year 2016-2017 for the students of the senior wing today.
The deserving students were bestowed with the responsibility of leading the school from the front. The ceremony began with a silent prayer followed by school song. The function was presided over by Dr Adit Gupta, Senior Joint Director MIER and Rupa Gupta, Management representative. They were accompanied by Pramod Srivastava, Principal Model Academy, Usha Gadoo, Vice Principal, Manjari Sehgal, Academic Manager, JK Dhiman, Controller of Examination, Usha Chuni, Convener Sports and Manju Vali, Convener Co-curricular Committee.
The Students’ Council comprised of presidents and vice presidents of all four houses namely Newton House, Einstein House, Edison House and Darwin House. The new council members were honoured with badges and sashes by the Joint Director and Principal who pledged to work earnestly and uphold the school motto of “shrestha” in high esteem.
Dr. Adit Gupta congratulated the council members and impressed upon them to work with zeal and dedication. Pramod Srivastava, Principal in his speech advised them to take up their duties sincerely with full commitment and honour the responsibility and trust bestowed upon them.
Karishma Sharma welcomed the guests and Kanika Mahajan presented a formal vote of thanks.
