Navyug HSS holds debate competition

JAMMU, May 6: Navyug Hr. Secondary School today  organized an Inter house debate competition in the school multipurpose hall.
About 55 students from classes 6th to 10th actively participated in this competition.
Hardev Singh Jamwal, Managing Director of the school was the chief guest on the occasion.
The topic of the debate was “Women Empowerment”
The purpose of the competition was to develop confidence among students  and make them aware of the fact the society cannot progress without the active participation of women in every sphere of life. .
The participating students presented their views which enthralled the audience. School captains Akshit Basur, Miss Diksha Mandyal and Kapila Madam were the judges on the ocassion.
In Senior group of class 8th , 9th and 10th ,  Predikta of Liberty house got 1st prize, Shranya of Peace house got 2nd prize and 3rd prize went to Shagun of Liberty house. Nikita of fraternity house and Anshita of Liberty house got consolation prize.
In Junior group of class  6th , 7th and 8th , Siya of Peace house bagged 1st prize, Manvi of Liberty house got 2nd prize whereas 3rd prize was fetch by Ananya of progress House. Koushiki and Ichha of Progress house and  Deepshikha and Veedika of Liberty house got consolation prize.
The prizes were distributed by Hardev Singh Jamwal, Managing Director of the school, while Principal, Preetika Jamwal congratulated the prize winners.
