MM (DU) organizes orientation-cum-induction program for new students

JAMMU, Aug 1: To welcome the freshers, an orientation-cum-induction program was organized by Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University), Mullana, today.
The program was also attended by a good number of parents as well.
The event began with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of a new academic journey and invoking blessings for knowledge and wisdom.
Dr Sumit Mittal, registrar of MM(DU) welcomed the audience and shared the MM(DU)’s vision and mission, giving the students a glimpse of the journey they are about to embark upon.
On this occasion, Tarsem Garg, chancellor of MM (DU), extended his best wishes to the newly admitted students and encouraged them to make the most of the opportunities provided by the university, so that they may bring pride to their parents and families.
Welcoming the new students in MM Campus, Prof H K Sharma, vice chancellor of MM(DU) emphasized on academic excellence, discipline and the importance of character-building during university life.
Adding a touch of culture and entertainment, a cultural performance followed, bringing smiles and applause from the audience and showcasing the talents of senior students.
To help students understand the institution better, a video presentation about the MM Trust was presented.
The highlight of the program was a powerful motivational talk by Amar Chaudhary.
His session encouraged students to believe in themselves, stay focused and make the most of their college life.
The event concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and enthusiasm.
