MLA Zadibal expresses concern over delay in starting STPs across Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Feb 4: The Chief Spokesperson of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) and MLA Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq today expressed serious concerns over the delay in starting Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) across Srinagar and said that due to years of government neglect, are a thing of the past, the Omar Abdullah led govt is actively working to expedite these projects.
Sadiq was attending a workers meeting in Channpora, Noushehar in Zadibal constituency.
On the occasion, he also sought a thorough account of ration supply and basic utility services in the area.
Highlighting the poor state of affairs in Srinagar, the MLA emphasized that the city has long been plagued by the actions of non-NC governments.
“However, the decade-long succession of non-NC governments and undemocratic rule has only worsened the situation. Srinagar is facing numerous issues, including a lack of infrastructure, inadequate health services, high unemployment rates, and a shortage of recreational facilities,” he said.
During the meeting, the party’s local unit functionaries voiced numerous concerns, all of which Tanvir pledged to address promptly and effectively.
“The party is fully aware of the challenges faced by our people and is actively working on multiple fronts to address them, with the active involvement of the community,” he assured.
Later, Sadiq visited the residences of Bureau Chief Gulistan News Network Saleem Wani, in Kangan and Youth Zonal President Mushtaq Mir in Ganderbal to offer his heartfelt condolences on their bereavement.
He along with party’s local unit functionaries prayed for peace to departed and fortitude to bereaved.
