JAMMU, Jan 24: BJP leader and MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta here today inaugurated development work of installing new iron gratings at Main Bazaar, Shakti Nagar.
The work will incur an expenditure of Rs 33 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind accused the Congress of betraying Dr. B.R Ambedkar’s ideals and neglecting his contributions to the nation.
“Congress has used the Dalits and backward sections as a vote bank,” he maintained adding: “BJP has taken concrete steps to realize Ambedkar’s dream of an equitable and progressive society.”
Interacting with people at Shakti Nagar, the MLA reaffirmed BJP’s commitment to inclusive development.
“PM Modi led Government has ensured that every section of the society, especially the marginalized, gets the benefits of welfare schemes without any discrimination,” he continued.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mandal president, Kushant Daffara; ex-Councillor, Surinder Choudhary; ex-Mandal president, AEE PWD, Neeraj Chopra and senior BJP leader, Atul Bakshi.
Several BJP workers including Mohit Vaid, Sanjay Verma, Renu Choudhary, Suresh Gupta, Hira Lal, Suresh Verma and Akshay were also present on the occasion.
