DODA, Jan 8: A 5.5-kilometer-long Suli-Zadahan road, sanctioned at a cost of Rs 16.5 crore, was inaugurated today at Saraz Mandal by MLA Doda West Shakti Raj Parihar.
The road was inaugurated in the presence of DDC Chairman, Dhananter Singh Kotwal and DDC Vice Chairman, Sangeeta Bhagat.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said, “It was reiterated that strengthening road infrastructure in remote and hilly areas remains a priority and that projects under PMGSY are being implemented to ensure balanced and inclusive development across Doda West Constituency.”
The project is a significant infrastructure initiative aimed at improving road connectivity in the Saraz region.
Upon completion, the road will provide all-weather access to Suli, Zadahan and adjoining villages, reducing travel time and strengthening connectivity to essential services such as healthcare, education and markets.
Among others who were present during the event included the officials from the concerned departments, public representatives and local residents were present during the inauguration.
