RAMBAN, Oct 30: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ashok Kumar released an amount of Rs 18 lakh from his Constituency Development Funds (CDF) for various developmental works in Dessa area of Doda district.
During his five-day tour to various areas of district Doda, he sanctioned an ambulance worth Rs 8 lakh for hospital at Ghei, Rs 5 lakh each for the construction of examination halls at the Lower High Schools of Malan and Shenkhli, Rs 2 lakh each for the construction of shelter sheds at Jartund and Kunda, near Ziarat and Rs 3 lakh for shelter sheds at Chanderbhotan.
The people of the areas demanded establishment of big hospital, construction of more link roads, air ambulance to save the lives of the critically sick people, enhancement of the honorarium of the SPOs from Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,500, early sanctioning of the major water supply schemes and construction of the food storage godowns at Ghei and Malan or Bhaata.
