RAMNAGAR, Mar 3: Dr Sunil Bhardwaj, MLA Ramnagar, today spearheaded a massive developmental blitz across the constituency by formally kick-starting and inaugurating a series of high-impact projects,
The day’s proceedings were headlined by the commencement of the 4 km PMGSY Road from Main Road Dheeran to Band Baryalta, a project sanctioned at the cost of Rs 9.52 crore. This vital artery, which serves as a long-pending demand of Panchayat Dheeran, was recently digitally inaugurated by MoS Dr Jitendra Singh. It is another road after Bagger to Pachound and Sira Morh to Shivgali roads being under construction to improve rural connectivity in the region.
In a major push for the education sector, Dr Bhardwaj inaugurated two state-of-the-art Smart Classrooms and a new Examination Hall at Government High School, Kaghote, constructed at a cost of Rs 1.52 crore. These initiatives are designed to modernize educational infrastructure in the constituency, ensuring that students in rural areas have access to quality learning facilities and digital tools comparable to urban centers. The MLA emphasised that strengthening the foundations of education remains a cornerstone of his developmental agenda.
Recognising the spiritual and tourism potential of the region, the MLA also inaugurated the completion of the blacktopping of the road leading from the Ramnagar-Basantgarh Main Road to the Tarmayan Temple. Executed at a cost of Rs 90 lakh, this project improves access to the revered Baba Vasuki Naag shrine. Nestled in breathtaking pine-clad surroundings, the temple is a prominent destination for pilgrims and tourists alike.
Under Dr Bhardwaj’s stewardship, Ramnagar is witnessing a surge in sanctioned works worth crores. Recent highlights include Rs 18.25 crore for Government College Basantgarh, Rs 3 crore for a new minibus stand to decongest Ramnagar town, and Rs 1 crore for the modernisation of Raja Ram Singh Stadium. Further investments include over 35 school buildings, such as HS Baryalta and HS Kulwanta, alongside critical irrigation and bridge projects like the Rs 2.06 crore motorable bridge from Ghordi Khas to Jandrore, Rs 1.2 crores Hansa-Jorh foot bridge, Rs 1.75 crores Katwalt -Sullain water Khul, along with numerous road projects.
