UDHAMPUR, Nov 20: Prioritizing the public welfare and infrastructure improvement across Udhampur, MLA Pawan Kumar Gupta today inaugurated the black-topping work of the main link road in Kallar, Ward No 21.
The work was inaugurated in the presence of a large number of residents.
Addressing the gathering, Pawan Kumar Gupta said that good road connectivity is the backbone of development and directly impacts education, healthcare access, and daily commuting.
He reiterated that at present he is committed to ensuring that every ward and every locality receive its due share of development, especially in rural and semi-urban pockets that have remained neglected in the past.
The MLA further stated that the black-topping project at Kallar will greatly benefit the local population, ease transportation and improve overall civic convenience.
He assured the residents that all remaining developmental works related to roads, water supply, street lights and drainage will also be taken up in a phased manner and departments have already been directed to resolve pending issues at the earliest.
The event also witnessed active participation of a large number of women, senior citizens, youth, and other residents, who appreciated the timely commencement of black-topping work.
The community welcomed this initiative with great enthusiasm, expressing hope that more such projects will soon follow.
