UDHAMPUR, Dec 23: The Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan was successfully organized by MLA Pawan Gupta in the Udhampur West Assembly Constituency.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens, party workers, women, youth, and grassroots representatives, reflecting strong public support for the vision of a self-reliant India and Vocal for Local.
Addressing the gathering, Pawan Gupta emphasized that Atmanirbhar Bharat is a people’s movement and that adopting Swadeshi products is essential for strengthening local industries, empowering artisans, farmers, traders, and small entrepreneurs, and preserving India’s cultural pride.
The programme featured public pledges to prioritize indigenous products, awareness activities, and outreach initiatives aimed at promoting economic self-reliance and sustainable development. Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Arun Gupta , BJP District President Udhampur; Parmod Kapahi, Prabhari Udhampur District; Neha Mahajan , BJP Mahila Morcha President Jammu & Kashmir; Nisha Mahajan, BJP District President Mahila Morcha Udhampur; District Secretary Rohit Sethi; Dr Jogeshwar Gupta, former President MC Udhampur; Juhi Manhas, DDC Vice Chairperson Udhampur; Ashu Sharma , DDC Tikri; Pinki Devi, DDC Latti Marothi; Arti Sharma, former BDC; Mandal Pardhans namely Shashi Pal Sharma, Sunil Magotra, Raj Mohan, Kuldeep Singh, Pankaj Mahajan along with former Sarpanches and Panches.
Speaking on the occasion, Arun Gupta stated that self-reliance begins at the household level, Neha Mahajan highlighted the decisive role of women in making Atmanirbhar Bharat a reality, and Parmod Kapahi called upon the youth to lead innovation and entrepreneurship in the true spirit of Vocal for Local.
The event concluded with a collective resolve, led by Pawan Gupta, to continuously spread the message of “Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar Ghar Swadeshi” across villages, towns, and communities of Udhampur West and contribute towards building a strong, self-reliant, and prosperous India.
