UDHAMPUR, Nov 18: MLA Udhampur West, Pawan Kumar Gupta today inaugurated and formally kick-started the black-topping work at Thandapadar, Ward No. 21.
The project has been sanctioned at a cost of Rs 12.64 lakh, and its timely completion is expected to provide major relief to residents who have long endured hardships due to the deteriorated condition of the road.
Addressing the gathering, Pawan Kumar Gupta stated that good roads are the foundation of development-essential for seamless public movement, economic activity, and improved access to essential services. He emphasized that ensuring quality infrastructure in every ward of Udhampur remains one of his foremost priorities. He further added that he is committed to time-bound development even in the remotest pockets, and projects like this reflect that resolve.
The MLA directed the concerned agencies to maintain high standards of workmanship and complete the black-topping within the stipulated time frame.
The event witnessed the presence of BJP Secretary Udhampur, Rohit Sethi, and Sunil Magotra, Mandal Pradhan (City), Ashish Padha who lauded the MLA for continuously addressing public issues with dedication and promptness. They observed that such developmental works strengthen growing trust of the people in the leadership of Pawan Kumar Gupta.
Many prominent citizens of the Thandapadar area-including senior community members, shopkeepers, youth representatives, and local volunteers-attended the inauguration and extended their thanks for the MLA’s ongoing efforts across Udhampur. They highlighted that the project had been a long-standing demand, and its commencement reflects the seriousness with which the MLA addresses local grievances.
Concluding the event, Pawan Kumar Gupta reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to delivering development without discrimination, ensuring that every ward-urban or rural-receives equal focus and timely execution of public works.
