UDHAMPUR, Nov 12: Pawan Kumar Gupta, Deputy Leader of Opposition, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, today inaugurated a series of essential development works aimed at improving civic infrastructure and public amenities in Udhampur.
The works inaugurated include: Repair and renovation of the lane at Shankar Nagar, Ward No. 17, with an estimated cost of Rs 1.40 lakhs, construction of lane, drain, and tiling work from Sham Lal Pakhetra to Gulam Rasool in Ward No. 8, sanctioned at Rs 1.09 lakhs and repair and renovation of the lane at Omara Morh near Kalimata Mandir and Gurdwara, Ward No. 17, with a budget allocation of Rs 4.43 lakhs.
Addressing the gathering, Pawan Gupta reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening urban infrastructure and ensuring timely execution of public works. He emphasized that these projects reflect the administration’s resolve to address long-pending civic issues and enhance the quality of life for residents.
Local citizens and ward representatives expressed their appreciation for the swift action and pledged full cooperation in maintaining the newly developed assets.
