UDHAMPUR, Dec 12: Pawan Kumar Gupta, Deputy Leader of Opposition, Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly, today inaugurated the blacktopping of a newly constructed road stretch connecting PMGSY Road Debrah to MS Dadyal.
The total length of the road is 2.4 kilometres and this project has been sanctioned under NABARD RIDF XXIX, with the financials: Tender Cost: Rs 438.11 lakh, Allotment Cost: Rs 3,12,45,097.47, Maintenance Cost: Rs 39,82,802.
The road project will significantly improve connectivity for local residents, strengthen rural infrastructure, and enhance access to educational institutions and public services.
The ceremony was attended by prominent citizens and community representatives, including: Varinder Badyal, Sunil Magotra (Shotu Magotra) (BJP Mandal Pardhan, Udhampur, Ajeet Singh (Ex Panch), Girdhari Lal Sharma, Tara Chand, Yog Raj, Dhani Ram (Naib Sarpanch), Makhan Lal Sharma, Om Parkash, Kuldeep Verma, Ravi Kant, Madan Lal, Des Raj, Parshotam Singh (Ex Panch), Girdhari Lal (Retd XEN), Man Singh, Vikas Sharma, Darminder Singh, Babar Chandail and Vidya Ram.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kumar Gupta emphasized the importance of transparent management of public assets and reiterated his commitment to ensuring procedural integrity and statutory compliance in all development works. He noted that this road will serve as a lifeline for the local population, fostering economic growth and social upliftment.
