AKHNOOR, Nov 15: Continuing efforts to enhance rural infrastructure, Mohan Lal, MLA of Akhnoor, inaugurated the macadamizing work for the link road to Baba Jio Nath Ji at Dhok under the City & Town Development Head.
This critical project, with a cost of Rs 14 lakhs, covers a length of 700 meters and aims to provide better road connectivity for the residents of Panchayat Dhok Khalsa.
The inaugural event was graced by prominent dignitaries, including Bhushan Bral, Member of the District Development Council; Mandal President Manga Ram; former Sarpanchs Varinder Bhagat and Kali Dass; local leader Thakur Dass; and officials from the Public Works Department, AEE Ashish Bhasin and JE Devinder Kumar.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Mohan Lal expressed his commitment to the holistic development of Akhnoor. He stated: “This road is a vital link for the people of Dhok Khalsa, and its upgradation marks a step forward in improving infrastructure across the constituency. My focus remains on ensuring better connectivity, education, healthcare, and employment opportunities for all.”
He further highlighted the proactive measures in addressing the needs of rural areas, reiterating his pledge to work tirelessly for the welfare of Akhnoor’s residents. People expressed their gratitude to MLA Mohan Lal and the administration for prioritizing such developmental projects.
