JAMMU, Aug 25: In a move aimed at empowering underprivileged women, Marh Constituency MLA Surinder Kumar donated 20 cows to needy widows of the area. The initiative is intended to provide a sustainable source of livelihood, enabling beneficiaries to support their families and live with dignity.
Speaking on the occasion, Surinder Kumar said the program would help the widows generate income through dairy farming, thereby promoting self-reliance and economic empowerment. “The donation of cows is a step towards empowering women and providing them with a sustainable means to earn. I hope this initiative brings positive change in their lives,” he added.
The MLA further underlined the importance of community support and social responsibility in uplifting the weaker sections of society. He noted that such efforts reflect the values of compassion, generosity and kindness, and can significantly improve the lives of marginalized communities.
