KATHUA, Mar 27: Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Member Legislative Assembly Kathua, today kick started the macadamization work of the road from Sunderchak to Gandyal, near here, today.
The project, undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs 66 lakh, marks a significant step towards improving road connectivity and infrastructure in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bharat Bhushan emphasized the importance of quality road infrastructure in boosting local development, easing transportation, and enhancing the daily lives of residents. He reiterated his commitment to accelerating developmental works across Kathua constituency. It is pertinent to mention here that this road having length of three kilometer was in very bad shape since last over two years and now work has been taken up under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna.
Mandal president, Suman Bala, Minority Morcha district president, Sardar Shingra Singh, general secretary Capt. (retd) Pawan Sharma and Raj Singh, Om Parkash, Joginder Singh, Harbans Singh, Palak, Lal Bahadur, officials of PMGSY Division Kathua and local residents of the area were present on the occasion.
Local residents present at the event expressed their appreciation for the initiative, highlighting that the upgraded road will greatly benefit commuters, reduce travel time, and ensure safer transportation.
The MLA assured the public that more such projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure and promoting overall development are in the pipeline.
