KATHUA, Mar 29: In a significant step towards strengthening urban infrastructure, Member of Legislative Assembly, Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, today kick started the construction of lane and drain work at Ward No. 19, Kathua, being executed at an estimated cost of Rs 92 lakh.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Bharat Bhushan reiterated his commitment to ensuring holistic development across all wards of the constituency. He emphasized that proper drainage and well-maintained lanes are essential for improving the quality of life of residents and are a priority area for the Government.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of State general secretary, Gopal Mahajan, Rahul Dev (president, city Mandal), Lalit Kangla, Prithvi Raj Sangra (CEO, Municipal Council),Ajit Dogra, SSP(retd.),Chander Sharma, UEED(retd.) Varinder Kumar, Subash Chander, Shobha Sharma along with other prominent citizens and local residents.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan also took the opportunity to interact with the people of the Ward, patiently listening to their concerns and demands. He assured them that all genuine issues would be addressed on priority and directed the concerned officials to ensure quality work and timely completion of the project.
Local residents expressed their gratitude to the MLA for initiating the much-needed development work, stating that the project will greatly improve sanitation, accessibility, and overall living conditions in the area.
The MLA further stated that a series of developmental works are being undertaken across Kathua constituency to ensure balanced growth and better civic amenities for all.
