JAMMU, Sept 21: MLA Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan inaugurated a Financial Inclusion cum Awareness Camp at Khokhyal village near here, today.
Aman Jasrotia, Lead Bank Manager , State Bank of India, organised the vital camp at Khokhyal village which has considerable population living below poverty line and are unaware of the Social Security Schemes launched by the Central Government through Natioanlized Banks for the benefit of poor, downtrodden unorganised workers, women and other sections of the society.
The District Bank Managers of J&K Bank, Gramin Bank, officials of Lead Bank and a large number of villagers of Khokhyal attended the camp.
Aman Jasrotia, District Lead Bank Manger and other Bankers apprised villagers about the various social security schemes which has very nominal premium and can be got done in any Bank Branch. It was informed in the camp that insurance cover of rupees two lakhs can be availed with just 20 rupees premium and similarly a premium of Rs 436 per annum provides life insurance of rupees two lakhs and insurance cover of equal amount in the event of any disability.
MLA Kathua, while speaking on the occasion stressed on the need for 100% coverage of the population so that social security cover can be extended to the whole population and the benefits of the social security cover percolate down to the desired population.
G.D. Manyal, Capt.(retd) Pawan, Balbir Singh Saini, Baldev Singh, Tarsem Lal, Arjun Kumar, Gopal Dass and TarsemLal were present on the occasion.
