KATHUA, Nov 27: Member Legislative Assembly Kathua, Dr Bharat Bhushan today dedicated Jarai – Maksoospur road to the public.
The road which was in dilapidated condition has now been macadamized at an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakhs. This road will benefit inhabitants of Jarai, Maksoospur, Bhagthali, Rappar and adjoining villages. The people who had assembled in large number in Jarai welcomed the MLA and complimented him for considering their long pending demand.
Gopal Mahajan, district president, BJP, Prem Nath Dogra, member State BJP Executive Body, Rekha Kumari, secretary BJP All India Mahilla Morcha, T.R.Bhagat, district vice president, Ramesh Gupta former Sarpanch Hatli Panchayat, Anirudh Bharti former councillor of Kathua, PRIs, DrShiv Kumar and Dr Ashok Kumar were prominent among those present on the occasion.
Later, MLA visited Nagri Parole and laid foundation of four lanes and drains in the area aggregating to the tune of Rs 25 lakhs.
Former Muncipal Committee Chairman, Anil Singh, Mahesh Kumar AEE PWD, Executive Officer Muncipal Committee, Nagri PR Sangra , JEs , Mandal Pradhan Arpan Verma, Ravi Andotra , Sunny Kajotra, Rakesh Saini, Ram Krishan former councillor, Lambardar Sai Dass, Lambardar Bodh Raj, and other locals were present on the occasion.
The locals of Nagri projected various demands before MLA pertaining to repair of old iron bridge of the town, Bathing Ghat on Bajuh river for females, construction of platform with shed in Ward No 8 and improvement of Nagri Stadium.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan in his address complimented the people for whole hearted support to BJP in the recently concluded Assembly elections of Union Territory and assured that all genuine demands put forth in today’s public meeting will be fulfilled in a time bound manner.
Later MLA visited Hiranagar and paid floral tributes to Late leader and Parliamentarian, Girdhari Lal Dogra by garlanding his statue at Hiranagar Morh who remained as Finance and Planning Minister of J&K for 27 years and is remembered by the people for his vision and contribution for the development of J&K.
