KATHUA, Feb 8: MLA Kathua, Dr Bharat Bhushan here today approved 15 works for the development of Medical College and Associated Hospital in Kathua.
He approved these works in Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting held at Medical College Kathua today.
Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr. Sangeeta Ajrawat; Head of Medicine Department, Dr. Badri Nath Bhogal; District Officer AYUSH, Surinder Bhagat; Executive Engineer EM&RE Kathua, Mahesh Kumar; Deputy Director Planning, Sardar Singh; Assistant Director Planning and Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Kathua, Amit Sharma; nominated member ex. Subedar Major, Rattan Verma and Assistant Engineer from PWD were among those present in the meeting.
The works approved included renovation and repair of Radiology Department, expansion of MGRS system for Paediatric Department, connecting corridor from existing Hospital with newly constructed Hospital building, laying of wires and cables to augment installation of new X-ray machines in (CR system for 500 MA X-ray Machine Allegers and digital flat Pane Detector 800 MA X-ray unit), 200 bedded GMC Hospital, Kathua, replacement of electric cables in IPD Block, renovation of Labour Room and adjoining wards, construction of shed in MRD waiting area, repair of mortuary and purchase of emergency drugs and consumables.
The MLA expressed the hope that Medical College administration will execrate all approved works qualitatively in time bound manner with the help of executing departments.
Later on, he inaugurated a free Disability Medical Camp organized by Health Department in Sub-District Hospital Nagri in which special counters were installed for making Ayushman Health Cards and ABHA Cards for person above 70 years of age.
