RAJOURI, Oct 7: In a significant step toward improving rural connectivity and infrastructure, MLA Rajouri, Iftkhar Ahmed, today inaugurated two vital road projects – the Potha-FCI Godawan Road and the Main Road-Ziyarat Baba Seva Jagir Road in Panchayat Sagote.
These projects, spanning the areas of Panchayat Potha and Panchayat Sagote, fulfill long-pending demands of the local residents who have been eagerly awaiting better road access for years.
A large number of villagers gathered to welcome and felicitate Ahmed on the occasion, expressing deep gratitude for his sustained developmental efforts in remote and previously neglected areas. Locals lauded him as a leader who remains approachable, humble, and deeply committed to public service. Many described him as “a man of his words who stands firmly with the common people.”
Addressing the gathering, Iftkhar reiterated his commitment to equitable and people-centric governance, saying, “I will not let influential people snatch the rights of the poor. My people are my priority, and I will continue to work tirelessly to uplift them.”
The newly inaugurated roads are expected to significantly enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, and boost local economic activity by improving access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities.
Iftikhar also assured the public that several other developmental projects are in the pipeline, reaffirming his resolve to serve the people of Rajouri with honesty, dedication, and sincerity.The initiative reflects the MLA’s broader vision of ensuring balanced and inclusive development across all regions of Rajouri.
