BISHNAH, July 15: MLA Bishnah, Dr. Rajeev Bhagat here today inaugurated a new 50 MVA transformer at the Grid Station Lalyana at an expenditure of Rs. 8.50 crore.
This will elevate the total power handling capacity of Lalyana Grid Station to 150 MVA.
A handout stated that the augmentation is expected to address the long-standing issues of power fluctuations, overloading and outages, providing stable and robust electricity supply to thousands of households, agricultural units and commercial establishments across Bishnah and adjoining areas.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Bhagat emphasized the transformative impact of the project on daily lives of the residents.
Accompanying the MLA during the inauguration function were key officials from Power Department including Executive Engineer Grid, Rajesh Kumar, and AEE Grid, Ramneek Singh.
Those who were present on the occasion were Ex-Sarpanch Balbir Kour, Panch Kaku, Mandal Pradhan Abhishek, Arjun Singh Charak, general secretary, Anil Kumar, media secretary, Gopal Dass, Hitesh Sharma, Sonu Choudhary, Jeet Raj and many others.
