JAMMU, Apr 3: Working in accordance with the aspirations of residents of the Constituency, senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta in association with PHE Department here today kick-started the work of laying water pipes in Bori Basti locality of Mohalla Paharian in Ward No. 10 of Jammu East Constituency.
The estimated cost of this developmental work is approximately Rs 3.25 lakh.
The AEE PHE and other engineers also accompanied him.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta assured that he will strive to create an infrastructure which will help in enhancing the facilities and will provide fillip to the much required support system capable of serving the people at their doorsteps. Stressing on the developmental agenda of BJP, Rajesh said that he will not take rest until Jammu East Constituency is transformed into a Model Constituency.  He assured that with the completion of this work people will get uninterrupted supply of portable water for which they were longing for the last so many years. He regretted that due to his preoccupation in State Assembly proceedings, the work on laying of water pipes have been delayed for a while.
He sought people’s cooperation and suggestions in accomplishing the job to make this area unique as far as developmental profile is concerned.
They said that they are delighted to see their representative taking so much pain in mitigating their day to day problems.
Prominent among those who were present included Purshotam, Ashwani, Surinder, Ramesh, Waryam Singh, Om Parkash, BJP Ward president Sunny Sehgal, Jairaj, Sudesh, Kirpal, Satpal, Makhan Singh, Manav, Raj Kumar, Chaman Lal, Kuldeep and Rakesh Gupta.
