DODA, Nov 3: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Abdul Majid Wani today held a meeting with the people of far-flung and remote areas of the district at Bharath.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anil Koul, Chief Planning Officer Dr Yassir Balwan, Chief Education Officer MA Rather, Chief Horticulture Officer BL Raina, AEE PDD Division, JE PHE Division and tehsil Social Welfare Officer Subash Kotwal besides other district officers, Sarpanchs and Panchs also attended the meeting.
People raised various issues which included amendment in electric charges for rural areas, upgradation of Doda- Bharath road, old age pension to the eligible peoples and timely payment of pension, augmentation of water supply schemes, supply of high breed variety of seeds, up-gradation of various schools and clearance of pending panels in Education Department, besides various other demands.
MLA gave patient hearing to the demand and directed the concerned officers to mitigate the grievances on priority basis.
Regarding amendment in electric charges for rural areas ADC asked the people living below poverty line to approach XEn PDD Division and apply for amendment.
Regarding upgradation of Government LHS Kulhand, CEO revealed that the proposal has been submitted under RMSA to the higher authorities, adding that nine schools have been sanctioned under RMSA.
