MLA, DC Kathua dedicate Rs 41 lakh development works to public

KATHUA, Nov 28: MLA Kathua Dr Bharat Bhushan and DC Kathua Rajesh Sharma today dedicated multiple development works worth Rs 41 lakh to the people of the town.
They jointly laid the foundation stone for a new side drain at Ward number 13, Tara Nagar, near the Mechanical Division, to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 30 lakh.
A statement said this stretch had never been constructed before and was a long-pending demand of residents who faced sanitation issues.
It said the project will benefit people of Tara Nagar and Parliwand.
The MLA Kathua also inaugurated black-topping work in Ward number 17 near Sver Resort Lane, completed at a cost of Rs 4 lakh for residents of Radio Colony and Ward 17.
He further inaugurated a lane and drain in Ward number 2, executed at a cost of Rs 3 lakh, followed by black-topping near Gupta Motors in Ward number 16, built at a cost of Rs 4 lakh.
Local BJP leaders, Municipal Council staff, and residents of the respective wards were present during the events.
