MLA, DC hold grievance redressal camp

RAJOURI, Sept 22: Member Legislative Assembly, Qammar Choudhary and Deputy Commissioner, Shabir Ahmed Bhatt convened a grievance reddresal camp at Thannamandi Sub-Division.
During the camp, developmental issues ranging from upgradation and improvement of Rajouri to Thannamandi road and other internal rural links and renovation of SDH Thannamandi were raised by the locals.
The MLA, while addressing the people, said that double lanning of Rajouri to Thannamandi road will be completed by 2017 and a stretch of this road from Thannamandi to Plangad will  be completed by March 2016.
Later, the MLA and DDC distributed checks amounting Rs. 312000 among 52 beneficiaries under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The MLA informed that SDH Thannamandi will soon be upgraded to a model health institution and proposal for the same has been submitted to the concerned department.
The DDC assured that all issues raised in the camp will be addressed on priority. He assured strict action against absentees and said that punctuality will  be maintained at all cost in Government offices so that people coming from far flung areas do not face inconvenience.
Several other issues pertaining to power and water supply, availability of quality ration, shortage of staff in GDC Thannamandi and other schools etc. were also raised in the camp.
