MLA chairs RKS meeting in Nagri Hospital

KATHUA, Sept 19:
Member Legislative Assembly Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan today chaired the Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting of Sub- District Hospital, Nagri Parole.
Dr. Vijay Raina,  Chief Medical Officer, Kathua, Dr. Quyum Hussain, Block Medical Officer, Nagri Parole , Child Development Project Officer, Barnoti  Varsha Rani, AEE, Public Works Deptt.  Mahesh Sharma , representatives of Rural Development Department, JPDCL and officials of SDH Nagri were present on the occasion.
The newly constituted RKS body non- official members Ravi Andotra, Arpan Verma, G.D. Manyal and Neelam Kangla also attended the meeting.
At the outset, BMO Nagri Parole gave salient features of the working of the Hospital and apprised the meeting about steps needed to further streamline the working of the hospital.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, approved several proposals to improve the working condition of the Hospital aimed at furthering the cause of patient care.
The proposals approved in the RKS meeting included general sanitation and face-lift of the Hospital building, cleaning of all water tanks, augmentation of electric wiring and equipments,  purchase of computer and allied accessories, purchase of required hospital furniture for patients and staff,  setting up of an Ayush section, augmentation of laboratory and investigations in the hospital etc.
The RKS members and other citizens raised the issue of shortage of doctors in the discipline of Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Radiology and Gynecology.
MLA apprised that he had raised issue of the shortage of doctors and specialists in Medical College Kathua and SDH Nagri Parole in the Budget Session of Assembly, the Government had assured to post the doctors and hoped that the shortage of manpower will be over in near future.
The prominent citizens who participated  and gave suggestions for improving patient care in Sub District Hospital Nagri Parole included Pawan Kumar Pappu,  Shoba Gupta , Bodh Raj Deol, Dr. Gundeep , Rakesh Saini, Parvesh Garg, Ram Krishan , Mangu Ram, Capt. Pawan, Dr. Kewal Krishan , Jodh Saini, Swaran Kumar, Hari Paul and Dinesh Bawa.
