SRINAGAR, July 11: MLA Kathua Dr Bharat Bhushan today called on Managing Director (MD) Housing Board J&K Shahbaz Mirza in Srinagar and urged for early payment of pending financial assistance to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY urban) beneficiaries.
The MD was apprised that hundreds of PMAY houses in Kathua district alone are incomplete in urban areas as the pending installment of housing assistance has not been provided to the beneficiaries despite fulfilling all the requirements.
He said, “same is the position in other urban areas of Jammu and Kashmir and the poor houseless families are suffering.”
The MD Shahbaz Mirza informed the MLA that the Government is already seized of the issue and soon the pending liability will be cleared.
