BANI, Aug 22: In the wake of recent heavy rainfall that caused severe damage to roads and infrastructure in the hilly areas of Bani Constituency, MLA Bani, Dr. Rameshwar Singh here today inspected the progress of ongoing restoration work of roads.
Dr. Singh visited critical sites including Bani-Bhandar Road and Koi-Baljedi Road, which were heavily affected by landslides and water-logging.
He interacted with engineers, labourers and locals taking stock of the damage and reviewing the pace of restoration.
Directing the concerned departments to expedite the work, the MLA emphasized the importance of restoring connectivity to remote villages at the earliest.
“People in hilly and border areas face extreme hardships during monsoons. It is our responsibility to ensure that road connectivity is restored swiftly and effectively. I have instructed the departments concerned to complete the work in mission mode, without any delay,” he maintained assuring that all possible resources will be mobilized to restore damaged stretches and prevent further erosion.
“I am personally monitoring the situation. Wherever there is a bottleneck—technical, administrative, or financial—we will clear it,” Dr. Singh further said.
